Q. Can I have a camp fire?
A. Yes, but current local regulations require approved containers that we can rent you.

Q. Where do I get a park permit for the beach?
A. Turn Right out of the campground, under Rt. 6, Turn Left at the flashing light and it is on the right, just past the post office.

Q. Where can I drop off mail?
A. There is basket in the office, we will take it to the local Post Office.

Q. Where is an ATM?
A. We have one at the office

Q. Where is there a larger grocery store?
A. Go on Rt. 6 towards Provincetown, Turn Right on Shank Painter Road it is on your right.

Q. Where can I buy alcohol?
A. Pennie’s Liquors, next to the Stop & Shop in Provincetown. Go on Rt. 6 towards Provincetown, Turn Right on Shank Painter Road it is on your right.

Q. Do you recycle?
A. Yes, we do. We make every effort to recycle all materials that we can. Glass, aluminum, steel, any paper product, including those with wax exterior and cardboard. Plastic, but not Styrofoam.

Q. How do I get to the beach?
A. You can walk on our beach trail, simply walk to the rear of the park on the main road and Turn Right on the last road, at the end you will see signs (it is a pleasant 15 minute walk) or, Turn Left out of the park and Left again on the first road you come to (keep in mind, most of the year you need a permit to park) it is about one mile.

Q. Can I have a fire on the beach?
A. Yes, you will need a permit from the beach office, they are limited and begin offering them at four (during busy times of year, it is good to get there early).

Q. Where can I get firewood?
A. Often we have wood, just ask at the office.

Q. What about the bus into P-town?
A. You can catch the bus at the entrance to the park, there is a bench there. If you are going to stay late in town, after the bus stops running,Mercedes Cab will be happy to bring you back to the park. You can reach them at 508-487-TAXI.

Q. Can I drive to P-town?
A. Yes, it is about 7 miles. Keep in mind that parking is at a premium during busy times, but there are public and private parking lots.

Q. I loved it here, can I get a site to stay for the entire season?
A. Yes, just ask at the office, we love our seasonal guests!

Q. Is there an area to let my dog off the leash?
A. The Bark Park is a fenced dog park on Shank Painter Road in Provincetown, it is open from Dawn till Dusk daily.

Q. Is my dog allowed on the beach?
A. Yes! Your dog must be on a leash at all times and kept outside of the lifeguard protected areas of the beach. Please remember to clean up after your dog on the beach as well as in the park.

Q. Is there a movie theater close by?
A. Yes, there is an indoor theater and a seasonal drive-in (which is a flea market on weekends). We have the information at the office.We also have ENCORE movie channels and you can ask to borrow a DVD at the office, no cost other than a deposit.

Q. Are there children’s activities?
A. Yes, we do this seasonally, just ask.

Q What if I am having trouble connecting to your cable?
A. Please check to see that your outside antenna amplifier is OFF, your TV is set to “CABLE” and you run the Auto Channel Search. If this still doesn’t fix the problem, come see us at the
office and we’ll try to help you. There is camp information on channel 13.

Q. Where is the lighthouse?
A. You can walk to it, or drive. Turn left out of the park and look straight ahead, about 1/2 mile.

Q. We want to get lobsters while we are here, do you know where we can?
A. Of course. Live, cooked or at a restaurant, we can help advise you.

Q. What is a great family activity?
A. One of the best, we feel, is whale watching. Ask about tickets and pricing at the office.

Q. What if I do not have a computer, but need to check me email?
A. Come to the office, we have one you can use.

Q. What if I am unhappy while I am staying here?
A. Please, come to the office and explain the issue. We are here to help and if there is any way to accommodate your needs, it will be done.

Q. I am having a problem with my RV, can anyone fix it?
A. We can recommend quality service at the office.

Q What if I need to air my tires?
A. There is a air hose for our guests at the maintenance barn, just pull up and air up.
